New York, NY
After graduating from Barnard College, Pam Wiznitzer was hired and fairly quickly laid off from a corporate marketing job in 2008. While Wiznitzer worked with Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry, the bar was named “Best Bar in North America” by the World’s 50 Best organization. Wiznitzer also began accumulating her own notices, earning nominations at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards for “American Bartender of the Year” in 2014 through 2016.2014 was a big year for Wiznitzer: she was named the “2014 Bartender of the Year” by the Village Voice and left Dead Rabbit to take on the role of creative director at Seamstress, a bar and restaurant on New York’s Upper East Side. She also completed a master’s degree in food studies at New York University. In 2015, Wiznitzer was named one of Food & Wine’s “Top 10 Rising Star Mixologists” and one of Wine Enthusiast’s “40 Under 40.” She is currently the beverage director at Henry at the Life Hotel, a newly reopened restaurant from James Beard-nominated and StarChefs Rising Stars alum, Chef Joseph “JJ” Johnson.
